Bitterfeld-Wolfen
Your challenge:
As a market leader it is our goal to offer products that make photovoltaics a reliable, affordable and sustainable energy solution. You work in a dynamic and motivated international team on developing innovative, industry leading products with a service life of several decades. Your task is to describe our products and production processes with suitable computer models, to employ these models to identify potentials for improvement and to support implementation into production.
Your responsibilities:Your qualifications:- You model and simulate production processes and reveal potentials for cost and efficiency improvement.
- You model and simulate the characteristics of solar cells and modules with commercial and custom built programs in order to identify defects and potentials for improvement.
- You advance the implementation of research results from simulation into new products and processes by working closely with process experts of the R&D division in Germany and the local engineers at the different international production sites.
- You successfully completed a degree in science or engineering, a doctorate is an advantage.
- You have specialized knowledge in the field of fluid dynamics or temperature simulation or in device modeling of solar cells and modules.
- Ideally you are familiar with modeling high temperature processes (e.g. growth process of monocrystalline silicon).
- You are proficient in FEM simulations (e.g. ANSYS, Comsol) or in solar cell simulation with e.g. PC1D and Sentaurus Device.
- You have the necessary skills to adopt/introduce new simulation methods and if necessary to develop them (e.g. C/C++, Python).
- You work in an analytical, structured and target-oriented manner. Being a good team player and good organizational skills are your strengths, too.
- Furthermore you can communicate in German and English fluently, enabling you to work in an international team.
- You are also prepared to travel to our global production sites.
